April has arrived in its usual British glory with snow, hail, rain and brilliant sunshine all on the same day. The unsettled weather perhaps reflects the troubling times we seem to be living in at present. If, like me, you find art and nature your calm place, I hope that you might join me in a creative class or workshop.

Workshop and class sessions are recorded so that you can also watch the workshops as a replay, even if you cannot participate live. I'm happy to give feedback via email to anyone watching the recording.

Everyone is welcome to my classes no matter what your level, step by step demonstrations are easy to follow and I am happy to answer questions as we go along.

Going forward I will also be offering termly 'Pay what you can' events with the aim of making sure art is accessible to all. Details of the first of these below.

Take a look at my guide to stretching paper for watercolour painting on YouTube. After being called into hospital during last year's festival and therefore unable to put many of my plans into action I will be taking part in The Big Draw Festival again this year! With a number of events throughout the year and some special workshops in October.

https://thebigdraw.org

The Big Draw Festival takes place from 1 - 31 October but with additional events year-round! This year's theme is #ComeBackToColour. We hope to capture, celebrate and find joy in the colours that surround us in nature, in our family, culture and heritage, through experimental drawing and creative practices.

I was thrilled to be asked to run another watercolour workshop for Artcare in late March. All the NHS staff participants had great fun painting a colourful bee-eater bird in an easy to follow step by step way.
