Learn to draw and paint a selection of colourful creatures. Each week we will look at a different selection of animals starting with mammals then birds, reptiles, land invertebrates and underwater creatures. There will be a mix of drawing activities followed by a longer colour study (or two). We will take a look at simplifying anatomy and gesture drawing working from beautiful reference photos provided in an online folder. This will be a fun weekly class with the chance to explore different media and techniques such as pastel, coloured pencil, pen and watercolour, with demonstrations and tuition from artist and tutor Bethany Milam. At the end of each session at 4pm there will be an optional extra 15mins for one-to-one feedback to be given. Suitable for beginners.
These Live lessons will be held on zoom, and sessions will be recorded and made available to participants to watch back. You will receive emails each week with materials lists, you will also have access to an online file containing lesson resources, reference images, materials lists and extra topic information. Feedback can be given during lesson time. You will have access to a closed Facebook group to interact with other students.
